Next time I'd camp by the big lake north of the dam. The facilities were nice but the dam made a tornado siren noise multiple times each hour till the evening. Really freaky not to know what it meant until I looked it up (means the water level is changing).

Great location within east walking distance to fish the dam. Plenty of shade in the campground with excellent restroom facilities.

Every time we stay there the electricity goes out. Once we find someone it is fixed but we never know who to contact as no number is present. We made reservations and paid a month in advance. Had to argue with someone that was in our spot. Finally got set up and another camper came. Started yelling saying they reserved our spot. Rangers finally showed up and moved them to a different spot. I don’t know if the spot was double reserved or if they had the wrong number. Tree limbs were cut and piled all over the area. We had to move the pile for the kids safety. Please get the reservation system in order so these problems don’t arise again. Really need some spots 50amp to allow the bigger campers.

It is a very nice camping area with a lot of trees for shade or wind block in our case. Would stay again!
