Sarge Creek offers a well-maintained camping area with clean restrooms, friendly hosts, and a great atmosphere for fishing and relaxation. Many campers appreciate the cleanliness and upkeep of the grounds, as well as the supportive community around them. Nice spot near water and boat ramp. A little more shade would be nice

We were so excited for our camping trip with friends, and ended up being extremely disappointed. We got to our site Thursday, and everything hooked up. By that night around 10, we had absolutely NO water. The public bathrooms / showers were locked as well. Come to find out it was a water issue and the whole campgrounds had NO water. We completely understand that it was not the campsites issues, and had to do with the water company. But we were NEVER made aware of the situation, or given information. Instead our water was just shut off. We do not have a holding tank on our camper, so we were completely screwed. Then told we would have it back first thing Saturday morning, and did NOT. The park ranger volunteers were extremely nice, and understood our frustration. No complaints with them!!! Just the simple fact we were NOT informed of the issues and not even an offer to compromise with us. Starting Thursday, I made MULTIPLE calls into the number given to us, left MULTIPLE voicemails asking to have a call returned. It is now Tuesday, and after calling every extension possible I finally reached someone in frustration. I explained our situation to them, and they said all they could do is issue a refund if we file with recreation.gov. Since our reservation has passed we cannot do that. So now, nothing can be done about our stay. This is AFTER calling multiple times Thursday / Friday / Saturday / Sunday AND Monday.
Aside from our water issues, the campsites were clean. The volunteer rangers were extremely nice.
Just very disappointed in how the water issue was handled by all involved.

We experienced a lot of no electricity. When we tried to inquire about it the Ranger was in a real foul mood. He told another camper that was with us and I quote. I don’t give a shit right now. We were trying to get a form to explain the disappointment with the electrical problem. We couldn’t leave our campsite because we had dogs inside.

I’ve camped at kaw lake for 30 plus years and this last trip was miserable. I had three campsites which wasn’t cheap and me and my family felt harassed by the gate keepers they were extremely rude to my family and other campers I heard many complaints the ten days we were there we even cut our trip short not to mention we were in loop 1 and it’s like we were in the ghetto the grass was terrible. Never mowed at all even though we asked multiple times. Your gate keepers at sarge creek need customer service training ASAP we will be going back to coon creek were you are treated with respect
