What Guests Are Saying
Kiamichi Park offers beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campsites with stunning lake views, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and spacious sites, especially in the Juniper loop. However, some experienced issues with weather-related cancellations, communication, and maintenance, particularly concerning overgrown grass and restroom accessibility. Overall, guests express a strong desire to return despite minor inconveniences.

For prime sites stay in “J” loop, Jasmine Road. The rest of the sites are gravel pads in the woods with electricity only. Did not realize that the road names begin with the letter of the loop I.e., J loop - Jasmine Road, O Loop - Owl Road etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay once we got our reservation changed to J Loop.

Very nice quiet and clean. Not much shade. Only negative in the summertime the bathrooms showers are not vented and they are very hot inside like a pizza oven. Prop the door open for a while to cool them off a little. Need Vents!

Lousy.the man at the gate was rude at the get go! They got rid of the nice Mr. Kelly and put a very rude person in his place. I had booked a month before our arrival and had the confirmation number, money withdrawn from our account, booked for 3 days. We arrived, had to speak to the rude gate person, got all hooked up. We stayed the first night and then I got an email that said they had cancelled our reservations for the next two days,no reason, but we had to leave. I think someone's buddy wanted our campsite J4. We have been camping here for about ten years or more. My family has been very upset about this.

This review is mainly for the equestrian loop of the park. If you love tree frog song you will find it here at high volume. This couls be why there are few flying bugs here, mosquitoes included.
This loop was quiet when I was there mid July 2021 and the spaces are wide and far apart, you can see any neighbors but they arent sitting right next to you.
The restrooms for the equestrian area are pit toilets but are very clean and do not smell. There are shower facilities not too far up the road near another loop.
Part of the lake is right at the south end of the loop and the water gets deep fast there with a shale pieces bottom.
The loop has 9 well spaced sites with electric and water (bring an extra hose) and gravel driveway/parking pad.
There are trails in the park and most are well marked and blazed but are geared more towards equestrian because of taller grass but can be hiked pretty easily too.
Overall the park is clean, doesn't look over used, and the hosts friendly but non intrusive.

The campground location was nice and peaceful. However there was an excessive amount of dog poop everywhere around our campsite and the surrounding campsites. I was blown away with how much there was…on the cement pad site, around the picnic tables, everywhere. You couldn’t even walk around our campsite or down to the lakes edge without having to watch every step you took to avoid stepping in it. Not sure if they have a long term resident with dogs that just lets them go wherever and then not pick up after them or what but it was very disappointing.
