What Guests Are Saying
Kiamichi Park offers beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campsites with stunning lake views, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and spacious sites, especially in the Juniper loop. However, some experienced issues with weather-related cancellations, communication, and maintenance, particularly concerning overgrown grass and restroom accessibility. Overall, guests express a strong desire to return despite minor inconveniences.

The campground was essentially deserted except for the loop near the boat launch with flatter, concrete pads for RVs. We stayed at another loop with a tent. Very few sites have a flat spot for a tent. We pitched on what I assume was the mounded parking spot. Of the two showers, one didn’t have any water and one had only cold water (not too cold to use though). Navigating this campground is difficult. Maybe there are maps but there were no staff there when we arrived.

seems like it's an aging park.

Would have been nice to have covers on all the sites tables

Nice grounds, clean, well taken care of. Sites are spacious and the sites are quiet. The shower house is really clean and has hot water. The only downside is I never saw the park rangers but a few times but then again I may have missed them. Now if OK would repair their highways as is this park is.

We flushed the water from the site tap for a while but it still came out quit orange. We did bring drinking water with us so was not a huge issue. I thought there was a fishing dock where we were staying but it was not at our site. No big deal. The lights in one bathroom didn't work and there was never any hand soap. After I knew that I brought my own.
