What Guests Are Saying
Kiamichi Park offers beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campsites with stunning lake views, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and spacious sites, especially in the Juniper loop. However, some experienced issues with weather-related cancellations, communication, and maintenance, particularly concerning overgrown grass and restroom accessibility. Overall, guests express a strong desire to return despite minor inconveniences.

Bring an extra 50 foot water hose. Water access can be a distance from your RV Site.
The Circus used to winter in Hugo, OK. There is an interestilng cemetary that has many interesting
headstones.

It was nice but there were fire ants everywhere and our camp did not get weed eated when the rest did. Bathrooms were extremely hot and dirty.

First night in J loop was no fun. Adjacent common area for tent camping had screaming (bloody murder loud) kids until 11pm. Neighbor RV had a dog which barked incessantly. Bring bug spray too if in the warmer months. I didn't even venture beyond my site, and I got 5-10 chigger bites. Luckily I was able to move sites for the rest of my stay, which was much better.

Anyone who needs an overnight RV or campsite should consider Kiamichi Park. It is large, has many areas to camp, wide and well maintained slots. During our few night stay, the park was almost empty but those close by were quiet and very respectful. The toilet/bath houses are clean and showers are good. The lake isn’t that pretty but it does provide a spot to get wet. Bring water shoes as the shores are rocky and a bit of a challenge to step into the water. Designated swim areas are fine. I hear fishing is pretty good and we did see a brand new set of deer with their mother. On the way out the attendant, who was friendly and helpful, did let us know that Memorial Holiday the park was expected to be full and many slots already reserved through the summer.
Just a note, the campgrounds are designated with a letter then number. The letter is the first letter of the road name for the site.

Lake was great! Grounds were ok. Needed a little more maintenance work & wasn’t mowed to the water. Makes it hard to see snakes.
Watch out for the busy body! lol
The grounds lady is on a power trip & has some major control issues.
Apparently not allowed to have eBikes there? Not anywhere in rules & not posted anywhere.
Also, don’t go 2 miles over the speed limit or she will send a Park Ranger to your door. He also thinks she has issues.

The campground well well laid out. I have a lake view site. Walmart only 8.5 miles away for those thing you forgot to bring. Vault toilet were cleaned each day. Only complaint is they don't enforce dog on leash. Had a few encounters while walking my dog.

Another wonderful COE park. Level sites, paved roads, plenty of spaces between sites. Buffalo Grill has the best BBQ, I ordered the 2 meat special, with fresh sauted veggies & fresh cut fries, enough food for two people & only $13.99. Even if you are not a fan of The Big Top Circus, a must see is the Circus Section at Mt Olivet Cemetery. The headstones & engravings are really cool. Also, head down to Paris Texas, take a selfie at the Eiffel Tower..
