One of the best kept, beautiful camp sites ever!! We loved every minute! Loved the water front spots especially #18 where we camped. Excellent

Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

This spot offers some shade on the driver's side of rv in the evening. Water hydrant requires 100 ft or more of hose so come prepared.

We were in loop A, Site 18. We are in a 40' bus and found the site easy to back into as fairly inexperienced drivers of a rig like this. No problem with trees in the way of slides or top. The water hookup is shared and we didn't have enough hose to reach as our hookup was on the other side of the bus, but we had enough water in our tanks for the weekend, so no problem. The campsite was well maintained and we loved the set up. The swim beach was right across the cove, and the loading ramp was also nearby. We hadn't been to Skiatook lake in many years and forgotten how beautiful and clear the lake is. We had good phone service. (AT&T). Will definitely be back!

We have nothing but praise for the host and workers here! They are super understanding and very helpful in helping us! Our rv broke down as we were pulling into the site, my husband and son in law worked on it but we had to wait a day until the part came into Tulsa. The fuel pump and the transmission was out. My husband spoke to everyone and at the end of our paid site was up , they put us up in a temporary place, drivable but at 5 mph. How thankful we were that they were so kind!
BTW, the site was excellent also, we will definitely book that site again and be back. I would give 15 stars if allowed!

Nice and clean with waterfront sites and shaded sites. Shower/ restroom area is nice but hot. (No ventilation) Boat ramp and swim beach is a short drive (12 mi) Skiatook Lake is clean and beautiful. 30 and 50 amp at each site. However;
1 Sites are paved but not level and are very narrow. (About 10’ wide with 6”-1’ drop off on each side.)
2. Most water spigots are shared and many are more than 100’ from a site.
3. Not much grass at the sites
4. No sewer hookups. Dump station is provided upon exit. (1/2 mi)
5. Trash dump is outside of campground

From Tulsa, Oklahoma, take Highway 75 north to State Highway 20. Take the Skiatook exit, turn west on State Highway 20 and drive about 15 mi. Turn left on Lake Road and proceed about five miles to the campground.
