We very much like this particular location. It was just too hot and dry to fully enjoy the camping experience.

Smooth ride leading up to the campground. Gate attendant really set the vibe for the campground, she was awesome! A26 was our spot in the trees which was a great location, plenty of room on either side that we didn't feel encroached by the other campers. Loved the well kept amenities compared to state campgrounds, the park bench/"counter"/grill/fire ring, etc. BUT, something is not right with the electric at this site- it kept tripping our surge protector and our breakers. It was a hot weekend, <95 degrees, and luckily we weren't foolish enough to leave our dogs inside the AC'd camper because we left to boat for the day and came back to a tripped surge protector and the camper being 98 degrees inside. This was beyond aggravating as it literally happened the entire stay multiple times a day. We even put our camper to the test when we got home running all the lights and appliances to see if we could replicate the problem, and it was definitely not an issue with our camper. I would avoid this spot if hot weather camping and you want to run AC. One other minor inconvenience, the trash is not on the way out of the campground. All-in-all though, we'd definitely come back, but stay in another camping spot.

Always a good time. Would be nice if the water was up and the beach open. Good fishing

The park attendant was very nice at check-in. For the amount of campers on loop A, it was the quietest camp ground I have ever been to. And yes, there were kids there. I was impressed how clean the bathrooms were. Definitely like the design of the bathrooms too. The only thing I would say was an issue is there was no way to dry your hands in the bathroom.
I would recommend this camp ground. Hope to return next year!
