Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

If you’re tent camping I wouldn’t recommend, a lot of RVs that pull out truck loads of fairy lights and light strips and then leave them on all night. If you’re in an RV you’ll blend right in

Check-in was speedy, space was easy to find and more than adequate for our needs. The thing that stands out the most is the cleanliness of the restrooms/bathhouse.

Water needs to be at each site, not shared. Checkin time is one of the latest (6pm) ever encountered, checkout is very late as well (4pm) need to get both of those set closer to normal. Need code entry gate so access can be 24/7. Site was fine sans water. Nice lake and location.

Nice campground ,we camp here often. Only wish when trees die, if the corp could replant other trees. Heard several campers complain about little shade in Loops C. Plus ,if you can't plant trees put more shelters over picnic tables. We really like the updates to several campsites on loops A with concrete work.
Bathrooms are very clean.
If you want a nice dinner go into Skiatook and eat at the Italian restaurant, Luigi's.

From Tulsa, Oklahoma, take Highway 75 north to State Highway 20. Take the Skiatook exit, turn west on State Highway 20 and drive about 15 mi. Turn left on Lake Road and proceed about five miles to the campground.
