Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

We had the best and hardest site to reserve but since the high water in 2018 we have lost all the shade trees because the Corp of engineers kept the water so hi too long and it killed all the shade trees. Not so good.

Tallcheif Cove is very well organized and managed! Everyone seems to have a good time without spoiling the experience of other campers. I also enjoyed that we were not disturbed by Park management if we wanted to take a nap or otherwise wanted quiet privacy.
