The only drawback to this campsite is that you need to have 200 ft of water hose, or a full fresh water tank, other than that, it's one of our favorites!

Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

We had to leave 4 days early. We’re attached by bees. Granddaughter was stung. Seem to be living in the pole you hang a lantern on. There was no attendant at the gate to tell. Tried to get online at recreation . Gov but none of the links worked to try to contact someone.

I love the “seaside” feel of this spot. I also love that you get a very out in nature experience while still having access to amenities like showers, electric outlets, and running water at the lots.

We love coming to Tall Chief Cove camping when we can get a spot. It is usually booked up. I wish it was open in November. Lots of nice camping days during November.

From Tulsa, Oklahoma, take Highway 75 north to State Highway 20. Take the Skiatook exit, turn west on State Highway 20 and drive about 15 mi. Turn left on Lake Road and proceed about five miles to the campground.
