It would help to have more water hydrants for the campsites, over all we love Tall Chief Cove, but some of the sites need to be more level.

Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

We had a lake view site in C Loop which was nice for late fall visit and cooler temps. In summer months shaded sites in loops A or B would be better. Our campsite was level and had a large grass area. Site power and water were good. There was a canopy over the picnic table / pad with a shelf for our portable gas grill. The location was convenient to visit Tulsa, Pawhuska and Bartlesville.

Love Tall Chief Cove. Usually camp on Loop B if available. Campsites are always clean. Lake is clean. Just a nice area. Park could use some maintenance here and there. Issues with some leaking faucets. The 30 amp breaker kept tripping on B38. Many dead trees need to be taken down. Noticed some on Loop C were taken down maybe last year and they were working on trimming and taking some down by the boat ramp the day we left the other day. The gate attendants and volunteers are so nice. We just love it there.
