Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Beautiful lake! Camping spot was shady but the water connection for RV’s is far from spot, had to go buy an extra long water hose, and the person I was sharing with turned water pressure all the way up and my hose exploded ! Need better RV water service at camping spots.

Unfortunately our site was littered with cigarette butts and chicken bones also beer cans in the fire pit. The grass definitely needed to be mowed. Not my favorite place to camp.

Grounds were clean and mowed, bathrooms clean, quiet in the evenings. The camp host and Park Ranger were driving by regularly. Cell phone coverage through Consumer Cellular was good.

From Tulsa, Oklahoma, take Highway 75 north to State Highway 20. Take the Skiatook exit, turn west on State Highway 20 and drive about 15 mi. Turn left on Lake Road and proceed about five miles to the campground.
