Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Despite the very, very rainy weather, we enjoyed Tall Chief Cove. The sites are nicely spread out so that it wasn’t too crowded. If it is a rainy season, consider not reserving a waterfront site. Many had tables in the water and one had the water spigot in the water. We received an email three days before our reservation letting us know that because of the rising water, our reservations could be cancelled. Thankfully they weren’t and we appreciated the notice. Bathroom was cleaned daily. We enjoyed being close to the boat ramp and dock.

The park is very clean. The public restroom facilities are the cleanest I have ever seen in a campground. Young or old, you will enjoy. You will need to bring your own firewood.

From Tulsa, Oklahoma, take Highway 75 north to State Highway 20. Take the Skiatook exit, turn west on State Highway 20 and drive about 15 mi. Turn left on Lake Road and proceed about five miles to the campground.
