Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Beautiful Lake! This camp ground is on the southern, flatter end of Skiatook Lake, giving it plenty of room for family recreation in addition to the swimming and boating opportunities the lake itself affords. The swimming beach was seasonally closed when I was there, but looks excellent. The bathrooms and showers were exceptionally CLEAN, although the big one in the grassy area did not supply warm water. I went during the week in the spring, and the campground was not full at all.
Pictures were not available of my campsite A8, and I would not recommend it: I could just barely level my 20 ft trailer on the concrete, and the back-in approach required too severe of a turn to make in a reasonable number of tries (single-handed). Once in and set up it was fine. Shared water was within 50 ft. Almost every other site I saw looked better,

From Tulsa, Oklahoma, take Highway 75 north to State Highway 20. Take the Skiatook exit, turn west on State Highway 20 and drive about 15 mi. Turn left on Lake Road and proceed about five miles to the campground.
