Tall Chief Cove is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful waterfront sites, making it a great spot for relaxation and family fun. Many visitors appreciate the shaded areas, easy access to the lake, and the helpfulness of gate attendant Kathy. While some sites may be narrow and lack sewer hookups, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

It’s a great area with the spaces right on the water or very close. The camping area was very nice. I did pick up some small trash, bits of things and cigarette butts around our campsite.

We camped in A22 and we enjoyed the site with one exception. The water has to be shared with 3 campsites and I had to use 200 ft of hose in order the even reach the faucet. I don’t expect this to be rectified by adding an additional faucet (although that would be nice), but I think it would be very beneficial to comment on this situation on the website. Most people do not carry 200’ of water hose. Loved the site other than that.

From Tulsa, Oklahoma, take Highway 75 north to State Highway 20. Take the Skiatook exit, turn west on State Highway 20 and drive about 15 mi. Turn left on Lake Road and proceed about five miles to the campground.
