Tall Chief Cove is a great place to stay! The Hosts are great, too. We love our stays and the facilities are good.
However, maintenance needs to be done on the sites. Roots sticking out of the ground, trees not trimmed on bigger spots for the tall campers, a lot of the entrances into the pads are washed out on the sides, which makes it hard to back in and could damage your camper when you drop off. In the past few years, the beautiful beach has been closed for low water and now there has been a huge cut in Park Rangers, so the beach can’t be reopened.
We will continue to go back and hope things are improved.

loved being close to the water, but the spot we were in had very little area that was suitable for a tent, it was spot 54. it was all rocks and i had to take my foot and scrape all the loose rocks back, to where we could have a smooth floor. would be a great spot if they would haul in a load of dirt and cover the rocks. it would give you a better place for a tent and would of been much shadier. as it was we were in the sun in late afternoon.

The campsites and restrooms were very clean and tidy. The access to electricity and well water for our dogs helped out greatly. Will be back soon.
