Would have been great except for having to move because of rising lake levels, so it cut our stay short because the site we had to move to, was reserved for what would have been our last 4days, so we had to go home early

We had a very nice camping trip, not a lot of shade but it was a very nice time with family. The play ground was very good and it was very quite. All in all a very nice trip.

Great campsite, very spacious. Water and electric worked fine. Be advised that it can be tricky getting into the site without getting off the road. If it had rained much it might've been possible to get stuck as we had to get off the paved road to get backed into our spot.

When you enter the address for the park in Google maps it takes you to the old entrance on the north side of the park that is down a small road with a locked gate. Signage at Hwy 71 is faded and not reflective enough to see while traveling at night so we missed the turn. Once in the park our site had trees with broken limbs hanging down so my fifth wheel wouldn’t fit under them to back up far enough for my electric power cord to reach. Other than the issues getting to the correct entrance and set up around broken limbs hanging down the park was very clean.

Very nice campsite. Only potential issue would be backing into the spot if there had been much rain. Luckily rain arrived after we set up and had a couple days to dry before leaving. The road is narrow to the site and perpendicular to the road, making for tight turns unless pulling into the grass.
Electric and water were just fine. Facilities were clean and in good condition.

This is a large and quite pretty campground on Lake Eufaula. Unattended gatehouse. You are on your own to explore and find sites, the loops have no names, there is no map. Many of the sites are lakefront and very nice with tables, shade. But some are on long one-way lanes with no turnarounds, so good luck exploring in a big rig. It clearly caters to the local regulars, and travelers and newbies are of no concern.
The dump station is very weird and fenced off, you have to get on the ground in order to push your hose down into the receptacle, which is disgusting, hope your arms are long enough. It's also very tight so a large rig may not be able to use it.

Turn around for dump station is limited for larger RVs, you may need to utliize the loop around the Sports Complex to approach from the correct direction for your rig. We apologize for this hindrance. |
