What Guests Are Saying
Ladybird Landing offers beautiful, peaceful camping spots with excellent fishing and water access, making it a favorite for visitors. However, some tent and RV sites are unlevel and require maintenance, with limited amenities like running water and trash disposal. Overall, many guests appreciate the serene environment and express a desire to return despite minor inconveniences.

What a little piece of heaven! We stayed in campsite 9 and no one was in 10. We had the area all to ourselves and it was quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms were good and always stocked with toilet paper. Now, some of the things you should know before you book this site. It's a very narrow RV site that is fairly level. If your more than 8 feet wide and 20 feet long you will struggle. The camp site was rocky and uneven so you need to watch your step. Water is shared with space 10 and the power hook up is right next to the RV pad. Getting to the lake from this site is a very long walk. I would guess 1/2 mile. The onsite staff was pleasant and stayed out of our business. We will go again.

We arrived at Lady Bird landing to learn that all the bathrooms, except one, were closed. The one that was open had one room with a toilet and shower, per gender. Therefore, if we decided to shower, we would have to lock the door and keep everyone else out until we finished our shower. Also, water spigots are shared by several camper sites. So, if we did not have a Y connector, we would have had to unhook our hose every time the next door camper needed water. Rec.gov took my reservation but did not tell me the campground was not even open for the season. Lady Bird Landing is not a real campground; it is a fishing landing with campsites for people wanting to fish the lake. We had driven from Memphis, TN in pouring rain and arrived at about 3:30. There was no one at the gate, the camp host never came out to help, and the office was closing at 4pm. Do I need to say more? It is a fishing landing with little to no amenities. We were not comfortable staying there and went to the nearest KOA. We have stayed in other Corp of Engineer campgrounds that were real campground facilities: electric, water and comfortable bathroom facilities. We were devastated and scrambled to find a campground in the area.
