I was pleasantly surprised by how pretty and well kept the place is. I instantly added two more nights. The downside was a dog that yipped constantly. I have two dogs so I know owners can do better if they care to. I thought that was unfair to everyone else there.

Buckhorn is a very pretty campground. It is comprised of 4 loops. We stayed in loop C , spot 82. Look C is the only loop with 50 amp service from what I could see. The sites are mostly level left to right with some greater slope front to rear. The bathrooms are very clean and very well maintained. Camp host was very friendly as well. The dump station is about a mile farther down the main park road, on the way to the boat launch and fishing dock. All the roads in the park make for great bike riding. 50 amp electric service was clean and the water pressure was good.

WE had an excellent time here. The site was clean and level with great access. The camp/pad sites are far enough a part that you are not on top of one another. They are nice and level with plenty of room for larger tents. The only thing I would change is the firepit is not moveable. It would have been nice to relocate it to a more usable spot.

We just had a quick overnight here. Next time, we'd like to spend more time. Very nice camp sites. Well maintained park. I would have liked a better description of how vehicles fit in a site. The ones labeled as 35 foot max seemed to have two parking areas side by side so the tow vehicle can park beside the camper. You can see this if you look closely at the site pictures.
