It was a very nice stay. Bathrooms and shower area at Buckhorn were very clean. Campground is also clean and well maintained. No host at the time of our stay, but ranger very kind and accessible with any questions. Slight hiccup in beginning when we arrived because our reserved site was still occupied after checkout time so we had to wait to set up

Amazing hidden gem. We live 25 minutes from here and had never stayed at buckhorn campground. It is as nice as any in the state. They have level, gravel pads with picnic tables, lantern holders. Similar setup to acorn campground in beavers bend if you’re familiar with that.
The dump station is very easy to get into/out of. Camp hosts were very friendly, kept eyes out but not bothering people at all. On Sunday they were walking around looking for trash campers had left behind. We have stayed many places, I have never seen that before. You can tell they truly care about the place.

This was our first trip in our new RV Trailer. We really enjoyed Buckhorn. The only advice we will give is shower early. Love the solar showers but it can be cold once the sun goes down.

Nice clean campsite, and the best bathroom/shower I’ve visited. We will definitely visit again!

Our campsite was great, right on the lake and very relaxing. The slab was big enough for us to put two tents on. The site was described as "walk in", but there was a parking space right next to the campsite. If you want to hike we recommend you go up north to the old Platt National Park as the trail in the area of the campsite is not great. The Bison loop trail was great. Poor cell service at our campsite, but towards the restrooms there was plenty of signal.

Loved our experience camping at Buckhorn Campground. The sites we spaced out enough to feel private and were well maintained. The restrooms were very clean as well. I have already booked another stay at this location and an planning a third.
