What Guests Are Saying
The Point Campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite among returning visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious and private sites, friendly hosts, and convenient proximity to local attractions and Lake Arbuckle. Despite some issues, like a non-working water spigot and limited cell service for certain providers, many guests express their intention to return due to their overall positive experiences.

Was a little tricky finding the campground and our site but once we did it was PERFECT! Very large, level, sites providing lots of privacy. ATT cell service was great. My only regret was not staying longer!

The wood on the picnic table and the benches needs to be replaced. If u use them u would get plenty of spinters.
There was a tree that should be cut down that is to close to where u r backing your trailer in.
Finally, the ants were horrible getting in the rv. We had to go into town and get spray to put on the outside Jack's to try and keep them n out. And we have a newer rv so this ants were determined.
We owned a house near the point for years and we know this park has "been" better maintained in the "past". I don't think we will be coming back.

We stayed in site 50 using our travel trailer. Our 4 night stay was relaxing and quiet. It rained all day on the second day but the site didn’t get muddy. Verizon cell signal pretty weak. Calls would occasionally drop and texts were slow sending/receiving (not a deal breaker for us). Nice views throughout the campground. We hope to be able to camp here again.

The campground facilities are great. My one complaint is that dog owners do not observe the leash law. On the morning of March 15, while walking to the restroom, I was attacked by three dogs that were not on leashes. The owner did not have control of the dogs. I called for a ranger and he cited the owner. The previous day I was walking my Chihuahuea on a leash. A large bulldog came charging out of a campsite and it was only because I lifted my dog out of his reach that my dog was not attacked.

This is the second time my son and I stayed at this location and loved it both time. Maybe more this time as it was as hot and no loud frogs everywhere at night lol. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
