Such a nice campground. We were so surprised to see how nice it was. The lady at checkin was awesome. We got there little early and our site was occupied. There were several open site so she let us move over to one of them. We were only there for one night but we wished we had booked a couple more nights.

We love camping at waurika lake. Just wish the sites were kept up better. The grass definitely needed to be mowed everywhere.

Always a lovely stay at Chisolm Trail Ridge! Reservations are easier than most I've seen. The process of pulling in and getting to our site was also amazingly simple with very nice and friendly people attending the gate house. We did change sites this trip and they were just as helpful as could be! A very pet friendly park with lots of room for them to run. Our grandchildren loved the play ground and were very excited about the outdoor theater but we didn't get to see a movie. In the future, I'd love to sit and see that asset put to use. The lots are all nice and spread out. Even the ones closer together are still very well spaced. I look forward to all of the planned improvements and look forward to a possible movie night at the park with my wife and grandchildren. (I'll gladly bring my popcorn machine to provide free popcorn!) PS Pickles says HI!

We stayed at the beginning of the season and at the end of it. All experiences have been great. This time we stayed in three different spots; 12, 14 and 62. The kids loved the playground and the swimming area. Video review in on you tube at "The Life of Pickles on the road". The shore line was very nice but there was a lot of scattered garbage that we picked up on the first day. Fishing was peaceful and enjoyable. We had to use our leveling blocks on sites 14 and 62. Site 14, our 32 foot class C was almost too long to get level, even with the blocks. Late in the season, the geese are not all over the place, the deer come out in the mornings and we saw several humming birds. A very enjoyable experience.

The grass was not cut however the location was great for my dogs. It was a full holiday weekend and they were pretty relaxed on parking on the grass. Will camp there again enough if I have to weed eat the grass again!
