Alsea Falls Recreation Site is a beautiful, well-maintained campground that offers spacious, private campsites and easy access to scenic hiking trails, including a lovely trek to Alsea Falls. Reviewers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, clean facilities, and the charming, rainforest setting. While some noted minor issues with bathroom maintenance and road noise, overall, the campground is highly recommended for a relaxing getaway in nature.

Beautiful campground with lots of privacy between most sites! Very clean and quiet. Super quick walk to Alsea falls and other trails were well maintained. Camp host wasn’t overly friendly, but may of been busy during our trip. Otherwise, great time and we’ll definitely be back.

Small campground with well-distanced, very well-kept sites. Lots of shade and lots of space to set up camp. The road is close but not very busy so you just hear the occasional car go by but it’s not disturbing. More set up for bikers than hikers, but this is a really lovely place to spend a couple of nights while exploring the area.

This park is beautiful, and the campgrounds are quite nice and well-kept (albeit quite crowded with little privacy). However, we unfortunately did not get to stay at the campground we reserved. When we arrived at our site, the sign said "open" for the night I'd reserved, and there were other campers who had their things set up there. When we talked to them, we found they were told by the camp host that it was open for the night, and they had already paid for the site. We attempted several times to find and speak to the camp host, John, but he was nowhere to be found in either of the two campgrounds for the several hours between when we arrived and had to go to bed. Thankfully there was ONE open campground in the 'tent loop' set of sites that is adjacent to this one (at the end of the loop, which was a bit of a walk from the parking lot), and we stayed there. Unfortunately I cannot recommend staying here because of this experience, even though the area is gorgeous! I don't know what's going on with John, or what the reasoning was behind our reservation not being upheld, but having this experience because of him was really not cool. Proceed with caution.

Our space was large, there was plenty of space between camp sites, it was quiet and peaceful.

The camp host was absolutely rude, couldn't get out of his chair to help. The people at #9 wouldn't stop yelling at us because our dogs were playing and barking and enjoying the wildlife. We showed up at 5pm to set up camp and left before noon the next day. Didn't even stay the entire time I paid for. The toilets were absolutely nasty and had ZERO light. I will NOT be going back.

If people could obey leash laws or at least have their dogs under control the experience would have been much better.
