We had a great spot and loved how clean the camp was. We will need to come back when the reservoir is a little bit higher!

Love the campground and the surrounding area. Very nice. We went in the fall and the weather was a little rainy but overall the campground was quiet and well maintained a we had a positive experience.

My husband and I as well as our 2 kids (female German Shepherd and male dachshund) love Union Creek. Plenty of room to give the dogs exercise, plenty of mountain biking/hiking trails to give us exercise. Close proximity to the Sumter train which everyone should go on at least once. Not far from Baker City where we make a point to not eat camping style food and opt for a nice dinner at the Geiser Grand hotel. The drive from Nampa, Idaho is a breeze. If you go late spring, early summer the lake is just gorgeous as are the sunsets over the lake!! We go at least once or twice every year.

Union Creek Campground is a well cared for camp ground situated in a beautiful setting. Campsites are large and have nice tree cover. There are well maintained trails all the way around Phillips Resevoir, making for some great hiking. The adorable town of Sumpter is just down the road, where you can go tour a restored back line dredge, or take a trip on the narrow gauge railroad that is over 103 years old! The scenery in this area is second to none. Be aware though that there are no shower facilities. There are well taken care of flush toilets and sinks that are very clean. If you want sewer hookup, it is available in a few of the spots, so reserve ahead of time, otherwise, the other sites have water and electric hookup. There are water faucets inbetween campsites and a place to dump your dish water next to those. If you enjoy wildflowers, this is a wonderful campsite, as the variety and abundance of them is overwhelming.

We love this campground. Spaces have a lot of room, restrooms are well maintained and it’s hard to beat Phillips Reservoir for beauty. This will be an annual trip for us.

The only problem that we had was in no way related to the camp ground. At the time of year that we visited, the lake level was far to low, and as such we were unable to utilize this feature. Once agian, that was a timing issue on my part.
