Union Creek Campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, spacious sites, and friendly hosts, creating a welcoming atmosphere for campers. Visitors enjoy the beautiful surroundings, access to trails, and peaceful lake views, making it an excellent choice for relaxation and outdoor activities. The water was higher than the last several years, so kayaking was great. Phillips Lake is close to Sumpter, which is a sweet little rural town. This is my second stay in three years and the campground was spacious and quiet both times. It’s a great place to hang out or use as a central point for exploring the Baker valley, Elkhorn & Blue Mountains.

Very quiet with camping spots well spaced out. Beautiful lake with nice local hiking, try the around the lake trail.

Campsite was roomy/not super close to neighbors, although they were visible, and close to bathrooms. Used a tent, but would be great for RV.

These are the things that I like about this campground:
- very spacious sites, you see neighbors is a distance but their sounds almost do not reach you
- quiet place: the road 7 is a half kilometer from the sites
- ponderosa pine forest create this resin scent that I love
The only thing that this campground is missing is a shower. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars
