Had a good stay. Camped next space from friends. Not happy about the more expensive charge for an extra car. Makes you not want to stay as long.

Beautiful spacious campsite with plenty of access to fun activities. We loved watching the sunset over the reservoir at dinner time.

There were so many trees removed that this place is not very private or pleasant to the eye. Camping spots have changed, the maps do not represent the changes. I booked a pull spot that is no longer a pull through, luckily there was room to back in. It was super loud with all the motorcycles and side by sides speeding through the campground and around the perimeter of it. Very dry and dusty. Oh, and the road in is horrible.

I expected this to be a nice quiet campground but the first night (a Thursday) there was super load music being played by another campspot until after midnight! These campers were out of control and there was no one around (campground host or police) to enforce the quiet hours after 10pm. I knew going in that the lake water level was low and that there was no drinking water so I accepted those problems. The last 2 nights things quieted down so that made our camping trip much better.

From Bend, Oregon, go south on Highway 97 for nearly 27 miles to Wickiup Junction. Turn west on Road 43 and continue for 11 miles, then turn west on Forest Service Road 42 for 4.6 miles. Turn south on Forest Service Road 4260 and continue for 3 miles into the campground.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
