The campground itself is lovely. However, Recreation.gov did not send us a note that there is no water or dup station in the area. We made the reservation 6 months in advance, and were not aware of the water situation. Make sure you bring plenty of fresh drinking water or else you will be driving to another campground to fill up jugs. The nearest dump station is La Pine or Oak Ridge, depending on your direction. Again, this information should be shared by Recreation.gov but it is not.

There was no water in the campground which made it difficult to wash anything in the dust. Some of the toilets were closed for the season already on July 7th. No notification of the inappropriate conditions

The campground has always been a favorite of ours but, no water and no dump station, that was supposed to be resolved by the 20th according to a report on the site. I feel like they should have refunded at least half of my fees. Good ole USFS and hoodoo rec are raking it in and only having to provide a third of the amenities for the campground. This system needs some work. Where are these fees going..........

Large sites, clean grounds, lake is low but good access.. would of been nicer if all the restrooms were open. No water, which we new but no idea they had closed the dump station down the road and it has been closed a long time by the look of things.
Will return because of the campground, not the forest service maintenance.

Gull Point is a great campground. The hosts are awesome. However, we were told via email the water would be turned on the day after our arrival. It was not and we had no water our whole trip which was impactful!

From Bend, Oregon, go south on Highway 97 for nearly 27 miles to Wickiup Junction. Turn west on Road 43 and continue for 11 miles, then turn west on Forest Service Road 42 for 4.6 miles. Turn south on Forest Service Road 4260 and continue for 3 miles into the campground.
Gull Point Campground is accessible from Highway 97, which is approximately 27 miles away, via Wickiup Junction.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
