The weather was perfect and the views spectacular as always. This is probably our favorite place to camp as a family but this time there were swarms of mosquitos the entire time and our whole family got eaten alive. It is definitely a camping trip we won't forget and we'll be itching and scratching for at least a week.

Great place to get away and relax. Clean vault toilets and potable water.

Our 27' Travel trailer (29' title) was a challenge to get into site 14.
Pit toilets were cleaned each day.

The drought has really taken a toll on Little Lava Lake. The water level was so low, that in the first week of August the stream next to the campground was bone dry. The lake also had a toxic algae bloom, which made water play inadvisable. (Suggest that you go to the Beach Day Use area at Elk Lake for swimming and boating.)

Beautiful site that was spoiled by neighbor in large trailer who Han two generators all day. What a bummer. So inconsiderate.

Beautiful scenery, nice large spot (9), and a well stocked store. The only reason this wouldn't be a 5/5 is due to the mass, unrelenting swarm of mosquitos. Granted, this comes with the territory when one camps in June.

The mosquitoes at site 2 were off the charts. I’ve been all over the US, idk those skeeters destroyed us. We had spray and candles but there was no wind at that site. We never got a break, I had at least 50 bites on my legs through my pants.

Had some high winds that broke the top of a tree at our site. I pointed it out and we got relocated to another campground 5 miles away. The creek was bright green with a nasty algae bloom and had a wildfire evacuation the next day. Could have been better.
