Got caught in a forest fire! Barely made it out alive. Nobody came and warned us! Woke up in a shower of flames! Me the camp host and one other camper got out. 10-11 other campsites with multiple persons were never seen upon our exit and by the time we removed a downed tree that was blocking our exit the only in-out road to delta campground was engulfed in flame. Yes, definitely had a rememberable experience!

It was a nice, quiet site in-between Blue River Lake and Cougar Reservoir. Clean bathrooms. It is on the McKenzie River, but most of the sites are not. I found the campground to be too hot -- not great air flow. Not its fault -- just kinda stuffy. Fine for a night or two. There didn't seem to be a camp host.

The camp host gave a poor performance this visit. Overall, the campground is wonderful and conveniently located.
