What Guests Are Saying

Cave Creek Campground offers a beautiful and secluded experience, with plenty of free firewood available, though it may require splitting. The camp host is highly praised for being friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. While some sites can be noisy due to nearby campers and there are limited amenities, the peaceful atmosphere, clean facilities, and proximity to the Oregon Caves National Monument make it an appealing destination for nature lovers.

Plenty of free firewood but it’s not necessarily split. Most of it was just large rounds.

It was a connected site and the people at the other site were loud, fighting, drinking, and cursing. I wish the description was better it said the site was back in and it was not accurate we had to carry all items down a small hill path.

Very private camp sites. Some mosquitoes and no cell phone reception. Perfect for calming seclusion with just the sound of the creek nearby.

What a beautiful camp ground. Dea K was our representative that helped us. She picked us a perfect site. She also gave us plenty of information about the area. She also recommended a fabulous restaurant in town. Thank you.

There aren’t any showers, but there are vaulted toilets. A bear lock box is provided to store food. The sound of the creek is very refreshing and calming. We went on a tour at the Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve and would highly recommend! Tickets weren’t available online, but we stopped at the Illinois Valley Visitor Center and they saved us a couple of spots in a group. We paid once we arrived. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative. There are some hiking trails that you can do as well, but do be on the lookout for cougars. Cave Junction is the closest town for supplies. They have a grocery store and Dollar General to get what you need. There was rounds of fallen over tree at campsites to burn. We grabbed some firewood from the grocery store as well. When going into to town LOCK up your stuff. Not trying to be rude, but that town is sketch. When the store clerk has to walk you out to the ice cooler to unlock it, grab you a bag of ice, and then lock it back up, you know you need to be alert and lock everything up. Overall it was an excellent experience and we were happy to get away and be out in the woods away from everything.
