What Guests Are Saying

Cave Creek Campground offers a beautiful and secluded experience, with plenty of free firewood available, though it may require splitting. The camp host is highly praised for being friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. While some sites can be noisy due to nearby campers and there are limited amenities, the peaceful atmosphere, clean facilities, and proximity to the Oregon Caves National Monument make it an appealing destination for nature lovers.

This campground is gorgeous. I stayed at site 5 and really liked it. It was hidden from the road and not too far from the toilet. Beware, sites 5-10 are downhill from the toilets. 8 being the furthest away from so it’s quite a trek. I attempted for a dip in the creek but it was ice cold. It would have been nice on a hot day but was only in the 70s when I was there. There is a bunch of wood that you can cut yourself to use. There was also a pile of already cut stuff near the camphost for people the grab.
I only have 2 complaints. The pit toilets needed to be treated to prevent bugs. There are mosquitos breeding in there and every time I opened the lid a bunch came flying out. The other problem I have is that the only water spigot is next to the camphost. Though, I did see that they are planning to get water at every site in the coming years so that problem will soon be fixed.

I spent three nights on site 4. It is a great tent-only campground and until my final day, the site was very open without many other campers. The camp host was very friendly. Within the first 20 minutes of arriving, she was down to say hello and to let me know where water was.

I was on the number 4 site. This site does not have a view of Cave Creek that runs through the camp. I could hear it, but it was not very loud. I'd recommend this campsite as a great, remote site for spending time in the Oregon Caves area.

There is a lot of hype about #8, so I was lucky enough to get it. My eyes bugged out of my head when I I saw how beautiful it was with a creek running through it. Also, for the plant nerds, this entire campsite has so many varying kinds of trees and flowers. Every step I saw something new. It is truly a special eco system. Bring your identification books and enjoy. The whole site is on an incline, so it is for more sporty folks. No water in the bathrooms. Good vibes all around. 3 miles from Cave the national monument. Definitely worth checking out as well. No service but if you drive up near the cave spot you can get signal.

This was a beautiful, secluded camp ground that made it easy to immerse myself in the wilderness of southern Oregon. The camp host was extremely helpful and friendly and made me feel very welcome. Sleeping near the creek was the best white noise I could ask for!

Nice campground with a few campsites. Very spread out. Liked campsite 9, but quite loud on the creekside, which woke me up a few times during the night.
