Black Canyon Campground offers a beautiful setting beside a glacier-fed river, providing a cool swimming area during hot summer days. Even though the campsite was totally out of water, the host was very nice and communicative about the situation, and we had a great time! The facilities were also very clean and helped us feel safe in these strange times. Thanks!

Despite water access issues, the camp host is better than ever. And, I have stayed here many times over the years. One of my favorite spots in the west.

This is a beautiful location! A word of caution though. The road is really narrow, it’s difficult to back in a camper. We have a 12 foot pop up camper and we had to unhitch it and push it by hand into the spot.
