Black Canyon is a beautiful campground on the river. Both the river sites and the interior sites are appealing, and it is wonderful to be surrounded by the forest. The campsite has always been well maintained and clean. Sadly, there has been a lot of damage in recent years from heavy winter storms, and the interpretive nature trail has fallen by the wayside, a shame as it was great when we first saw it decades ago. Still a lovely site.

Campground was beautiful and very peaceful. Our only problem was that the descriptions of the sites (specifically the size) was very misleading. The sites are listed as being for RVs up to like 40 feet. We had the 5 sites that make up the "Group Campsite" loop. Only one site was anywhere close to 40 feet. The rest were more in the 15 to 25 foot range. We had 3 large rigs and it was VERY difficult to get them into the spots.
