Pine Meadows Campground

Park ranger was a little bit rude and pretty noticeably high. People kept walking right through our campsite. Bathrooms were nice but man people were blowing them up including myself. Showers always had hot water. But the water access to the lake was garbage. There was no clear path to the lake. Boat ramps were closed. Seemed like every water spigot drain was clogged. Campground also does not sell firewood. Overall an okay place to go. If you have a dog remember that the park rangers will yell at you unless you are a teenage girl.

No soap dispensers in any bathroom. Very unsanitary. Staff said they aren’t allowed to supply hand soap for the bathrooms. Rest of the campground was clean though

The campground itself is nice. The sites are spacious and the bathroom is clean. However, the pictures for this site are outdated and all but one tree has been cut down. We thought we’d have tree coverage for shade, and there is NONE after 9am (we were cooked in the 90 degree heat). The parking at the day use areas is very limited and since there is no water access in the campground, it was hard to escape the heat.

There are also potholes littered throughout the grass. Our two year old tripped in one and her pediatrician had to send us to the ER for X-rays because she was non-weight bearing and crying. Definitely something to be aware of if traveling with smaller kids or anyone with mobility issues.

It was great. We had a big tent and was a bit hard to find a level spot without giant tree trunks sticking out. But a spot was found. Right across from the water spigot, a quick minute walk away from the bathrooms and next to a gravel trail that takes you straight to the lake. The beach area was big enough to store our water gear so we didn’t have lug things up and down. It was wonderful!
Rangers do walk around enforcing rules, but super polite and considerate.

We were in site #67. Situated at the trail to the lake. Lovely trees in the back provided shade and privacy. We enjoyed the shore line and the trail to the Wilson creek day use area.

My group really enjoys camping at Pine Meadows. We enjoy the families, children and adults riding bikes enjoying the outdoors together.

I would like to recommend the campground provide soap in the restrooms. I camp at a variety of different types of campgrounds. Soap feels like a basic need similar to toilet paper.

I would suggest that there be a way to adjust the temperature in the showers. A hot shower was lovely! Although, it was actually too hot and seems like it could hurt a child or elderly person with sensitive skin.

Well-kept grounds, beautiful views, and the staff were great!

Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were kept clean as can be expected. One or two nights we noticed a couple noisy neighbors camped nearby, but when we asked them to maybe quiet down a bit, they were very friendly and were much quieter.
