The campground is well maintained, unfortunately the bathroom is out of order and replaced by porta potties. The swimming hole is beautiful.

About Rujada Campground
Rujada Campground is located 21 mi east of Cottage Grove (45 minutes from Eugene) on a riverside terrace above Layng Creek. A favorite site for family picnics and camping, visitors will enjoy shaded campsites with privacy, access to swimming on the banks of Layng Creek and a hike through a rich riparian Douglas fir forest on the Swordfern trail. Check out a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) shelter and a kid's playground with obstacles, swing, teeter- totter and monkey bars both located within the campground.

Campground was nice and the swimming hole was awesome! Camp host was super nice. Disappointed they camped all the water so there is no potable water, but it was a little ridiculous you also have to pack out your garbage… the price per night doesn’t seem justified when you not only have water but also don’t have garbage service… it was a nice place though. Hard to say if I would go back though for that price.

Great sites. Great loop trail. Great swimmings holes. All this makes up for the lack of running water and pit toilets.

A lovely old rustic campground although currently without any water so be sure to bring your own. Sites 7-11 are the most private, with lots of screening from trees between and backing onto the forest. The sites on the river are more open but the sound of the water must be nice.
Steve, the camp host, was friendly and relaxed - he also helped quiet a large group that was making a lot of noise late into the night on July 4. Otherwise the camp was peaceful. Would definitely return!

- Extra vehicle fee $5 per vehicle per night
- Camp host may have firewood for sale
- Possession of fireworks is prohibited
