East Davis Campground is praised for its stunning natural beauty, with a pristine stream and mountain views, making it a favorite spot for camping and outdoor activities. While some visitors noted issues with noise, trash, and aggressive wildlife, the campground is generally well-maintained, with clean bathrooms and a friendly staff. Would have been a 5 star experience if the people with the RV’s didn’t run their generators all day and night. I guess they wanted air conditioning. Very Annoying

Our beautiful campsite along Odell Creek made up for the cold, rainy weather during our stay. The campground is an island of mature trees surrounded by young, post-wildfire regrowth. It is a haven for forest birds and their fledglings that kept us entertained during our stay.

Lousy weather, but campground & restrooms were clean. Dismayed to see water levels so low and the absence of water fowl.

Quite dusty, trash cans full, lack of birds, lake was very low. Water pump is slow and water produced looks yellow is it drinkable? Forest looks very dry this is a drought year.

In June the ability to have campfires was stopped due to risk of forest fires. We totally understood. In late Aug. we were at Rock Creek campground. There was a campfire at another campsite. I reported the infraction but was told that it was ok to have one there! The forest there is very dense and lower half of all the trees have dead branches. An extremely high fire danger. There was a forest fire at the time just 25 mi north. We were very nervous camping there under these circumstances. We felt very safe at East Davis campground. Also had mice problem at Rock Creek.

East Davis lake campground is a magical place. Grab a waterfront spot and bring your fly rod and your river floats.

No water this year due to COVID and fire restrictions made this less than an ideal experience. In addition, the camp has not gotten the care it needs to be brought back up to the condition it was prior to the 2003 fire. The trails have not been repaired. The Odell creek trail over to the west campground used to be a fantastic nature experience for kids but it is no more.
