Princess Creek Campground

I love this campground and area. Camping spaces are well spaced and private. The lake is beautiful.

A site near us that was on the water was drunkenly singing karaoke at 2am - when asked to keep it down they threatened to start a fight. They were loud enough that you could hear them clearly throughout the entire campground (especially when they were singing the chorus to "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey).

We left in the middle of the night since we weren't able to get any sleep and it sounded like things were going to get worse before they got better. Your experience may vary, and hopefully this is an isolated incident. But we won't return to this campsite.

This is one of my fave spots!! It was so Smokey from the fires I left after only 2 hours.

This campground was very loud. There was a fist fight that broke out during our stay with excessive yelling and violence. Our fishing pole was also stolen overnight. The camp hosts were aware there was a theft problem occurring, but did not have a warning posted or verbally warn campers of the theft issue, but only acknowledged this when asked. The camp hosts were not present often, attentive or helpful.

The camp space was terrible the pictures that we booked the campground on from was wrong it was so uneven I had to park 50 ft from my picnic table and my trailer was still very uneven we left after 3 days and move to Waldo Lake Campground I think my money should be refunded for the days that I didn't use it. Web page says slightly uneven it was a ten-foot drop in grade. Was very unhappy and should be posted as a tent Campground site only

We stayed in #32 which is supposed to be a double site. Booked primarily because it was the only lakeside site available. I had high hopes but was pretty disappointed. We brought a 20 ft trailer, which I don't recommend for this site because its a 90 degree back in. Not the easiest for newbies like us. It is a good thing we had the trailer though because you would be hard pressed to find an area big enough or level enough for any tent, much less multiple tents as a group site would imply. You are right on the lake, however to sit lakeside the opening is only big enough for about 2 chairs... the view is pretty though. Another thing to consider, you are right next to the boat launch so there is traffic going back and forth all day and when we were here the dumpster next to the boat launch was very stinkyand overflowing with discarded fish guts or whatever. Overall, I'd probably stay here again but not in this site. It needs to be cleaned up of fallen trees and debris before it can really be considered a double site.

The staff was super friendly and made sure our reserved spot stayed open for us! My friend and I had gotten a little lost on our way back from hiking around Crater Lake all day, and apparently someone else wanted our spot. Really glad they didn’t let them do that, we loved this campground far better than the one we were at the previous night.
Perfect amount of tree shade, beautiful views, easy access to the lake, all our camping neighbours were super friendly as well! Will definitely be returning here!

Nice, relatively quiet campground. Try to get a spot near the lake. Don't forget the 10 minutes drive to Shelter cove to see the mass of PCT hikers enjoy the luxury of a campground with shower!
