The reservation process is ridiculous. Nothing is available when trying to reserve a site unless you want something on the upper side of the road. When you got there the place was pretty empty. The reservation process needs to be revised. It used to be first come first served and they need to go back to that. Then the lower sites were always occupied and we did not need to walk so far to get to the water or the boats.

Stop the reservation requirement. It's a nigh mare to get a reservation and then when you show up most of the sites are vacant. First come first served is much easier and the customers will be happier.

The campground is nice but the reservations system is terrible. We were up till mid-night so we could try and get good sites. When we got there we were expecting all of the sites to be full because it was so difficult to get a site. The reality was that the lower sites were vacant for the majority of the time we were there and we were the for 11 days. Your system need to be corrected.

Other than evacuations from the fire, the site was very nice and my little girls loved it. Sites are all a little tight but its pretty quiet and well maintained.

Amazing, well maintained site. Wildlife, fishing for the kids, and an easy access boat ramp are all available if you can make the climb up from the Deschutes river bridge! D&D Marina is just down the way for ice and gas (opens at 10am over the summer).

Pristine bathrooms!! The camp hosts came by each morning like clock work and serviced all restrooms. The well at the upper sites was “stiff” vs the lower sites, so we ended up driving down to fill our water jug. Highly recommend this over Palisades to avoid crowds.
The one unfortunate thing was that 3 families from the same group occupied all sites around us so we were surrounded with screaming kids all weekend. Parents didn’t tell them to stop screaming once. Not a site issue but a parenting issue.

Wonderful spot to get away and relax for a long weekend. Facilities were basic, but well maintained and clean. Campground was also very well taken care of. The campsites were nice and large, with enough space between them to not feel crowded. We would go again!
