What Guests Are Saying
Perry South Campground is a quiet, well-maintained site with clean restrooms and excellent camp hosts, making it a popular choice for repeat visitors. The campground features a nice boat dock and spacious campsites, although it lacks utility hookups and running water. Some guests noted issues with noise and site reservations, but overall, the positive experiences and beautiful scenery make it a favored destination for families.

Bubba and Kathy were the best hosts! Bathrooms were clean and the place was clearly well run. Highly recommended

Beautiful spot with awesome access to the prettiest part of Lake Billy Chinook. The camp hosts are wonderful!

I was disappointed because a couple of times I've had campground reservations canceled by snow. When that happened there was a warning email a week in advance and then an email to tell me my payment had been refunded. With the trip to Perry South there was a warning email several days out that there was a forest fire next door and the campground was closed and under evacuation orders, but they expected to be open by my reservation date, Aug 5th. But the website showed the campground was closed and evacuated Aug 2nd and 3rd and 4th, but the website kept claiming they'd be open by the 5th. I made other plans. I never went to Perry South. I didn't know where else to check or who to call to know if the campground was really open and the website hadn't been updated or what. The website continued to state the campground was closed and evacuated on the 5th, the 6th, and 7th. By the 8th, and still no email about a refund, I requested a refund pointing out the fire hazard. It's been most of a week since my refund request and still nothing.
It seems like there should've been some kind of email telling me to not make the trip, even just the morning of the reservation. And the difficulty with the refund is an extra poke in the eye. I'm just disappointed, maybe because they set a high mark for responsiveness and attention on other reservations but they left me on my own this time.

We have been coming to Perry South Campground for over 30 years. Unfortunately, this year, one particular camphost appeared to be on a mission to be as rude as possible. We spoke to other campers during our trip who shared similar sentiments. While they did an outstanding job of keeping the bathrooms clean, we could have gone without daily glares, snippy comments, and, what appears to be, a very jaded camphost.

We love Perry South. This is our third year coming the same weekend. We see many of the same people each year. The camp is incredibly clean. Our kids were raving about the good smells from the pit toilets. Camp hosts run a tight ship and keep the place looking really good.
