We came to Alder Dune with another family and friend. Our kids had a great time, there were great trails and a couple nearby lakes. We stayed in spaces 1 and 2 which were right at the entrance of the Campground but 1, 2, and 3 were in their own cul-de-sac which as nice and allowed us an additonal area to be without having to worry about car traffic. The bugs were pretty bad so bring bug spray! But we would stay here again.

Site pretty close to the highway, clearly noisy therefore even if the traffic is limited during the night.

We were worried about the highway noise but it died right down and we were serenaded all night by owls and bullfrogs.

Sites are extremely tight with a trailer. We were In a pull thru and barely had room to open our door due to overgrowth of blackberry bushes. I would also advise that the mosquitoes are horrible and there are ticks..I pulled one out of my daughters hair.

We love Alder Dune! It is always quiet and well kept. We actually did some fishing this time and caught a couple of trout, we threw them back. We are planning on coming back in August and think we may have figured out which site is our favorite.

Sites have a lot of privacy. Some road noise from 101. Good hiking although some trails are not very well marked.
