What Guests Are Saying
Alder Dune is a charming campground near Florence, Oregon, offering a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful surroundings, stocked lakes, and well-maintained trails. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts, clean facilities, and privacy between sites, making it a great option for tent camping. However, some have noted concerns about highway noise, small sites, and increasing prices, though many still find the experience enjoyable and plan to return.

Sites have a lot of privacy. Some road noise from 101. Good hiking although some trails are not very well marked.

Camp host was not friendly at all and actually darn crabby for no apparent reason. Will not stay there again,

Good:
Nicely paved sites
Sites are nicely separated from each other
Beautiful forest
Nice trails
Bad:
Smell from the vault toilets off and on the whole trip
Difficult to tell how big sites are and what will fit. Could use pictures

Lovely campground, the dunes are beautiful and there's a lot to do in this area of Oregon. Have been here before and plan to return in the future. One of my favorite campgrounds, and the sites are pretty private, so noise doesn't carry as much as other grounds, and you generally don't hear the sounds from the road.

Not all rv pads are level, and it doesn't tell you in recreation site.

Clean bathrooms but noisy barking dogs across from host. Also they hesitate to release camp sites with reservation no shows after 24 hours. It clearly states in your reservation -
Your Site will be released if not occupied within first 24 hours of arrival time.
There were other sites left sitting empty because they did not remove the “reserved” signage after 24 hours.
