Sutton was excellent as always! It was a very rainy spring weekend (March 30ish) which was fine in our travel trailer but would have been miserable in a tent. The thick foliage provides good protection against the wind. Some sites have puddles with this level of rain - again, not a problem in a trailer, but I wouldn’t recommend it for tents.
A local tip I learned this trip: You can go to the Siuslaw Public Library for internet access and it has fun kid activities.

Very clean park and restrooms. No campground host was available to ask questions, such as, does the park have a dump station? Campgrounds should let the campers know of a dump station in the park or near by.

We really enjoyed our time at Sutton campground. It was nice and quiet. The wind was really blowing the trees around, but we didn't get much wind in our camp spot.

Wow it is a beautiful campground but the mosquitos were so bad nobody was out in their campsites. Maybe it just because of the time of year and all the rain we had this winter but it was disappointing.

The campsites were separated very well for privacy, camp hosts very friendly & helpful.
For as big as the structures were, the restrooms only had 2 stalls in the women’s (that I heard), 1 stall & 1 urinal in the men’s, and ours was right across from a group camp site. Mosquitos were terrible, our campsite near a stream & wetlands.
Overall nature & trails were wonderful, but with the Pacific Ocean so close there was no easy drive up or hiking access to the beach, seeing part of it from a viewpoint at the end of the road just didn’t cut it for me. I understand being sensitive to the natural resources, wetlands, wildlife, & such but they should be able to set aside some of this huge acreage for direct access to the beach to enjoy & catch a sunset at the end of the day, the biggest draw for me when vacationing to the coast.

The campground was tidy and the hosts were nice.
HOWEVER, we have decided not to camp there again until a few things change.
There is no way to fill your water tanks because the hose bibs cannot be threaded to. No showers of course. No way to physically clean up. The sinks barely spit out a thin splash of cold water.
Mosquitoes appeared, had to spritz the kids with bug spray, Again, it would have been wonderful to have been able to freshen them up at bedtime.
My suggestion would be to either provide a place to fill up water tanks, install proper threaded faucets, solar panels on the bathroom roofs for warm water, or something to upgrade sanitary conditions.
