This is out favorite winter CG. Two loops remain open all winter and the closed loops are great for hikes or kids to ride bikes. Each site feels private with the thick undergrowth. Other campers and hosts are always friendly. There are several trails from the CG for long or short hikes. (None reach the ocean easily, fyi.) The trail head from B loop takes you a 3 minute walk to a beautiful sand dune. Love this place.

We enjoyed our site A21 very much because it was private, spacious and convenient. Camping in this park was really pleasant because we were there during the week before Memorial Day weekend. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was clean and well managed. We especially liked hiking the several trails out of the campground and kayaking Sutton Lake. In spite of being hear the highway, we did not hear traffic sounds.

I happened to not get a spot that was the best fit for my needs but I saw plenty of spots at the site which would have, and for what I got it was a very well kept camp site.
