What Guests Are Saying

Sutton Campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, and well-maintained facilities, including restrooms. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, friendly hosts, and beautiful natural surroundings, making it ideal for family and group camping. However, some noted the absence of showers, limited RV hookups, and occasional issues with tree branches obstructing access.

Clean campaites and bathrooms. Very private sites due to the many trees. Only one sunny campsite, though.

Large sites that are pretty well spread out. We were in the A loop and were surprised with electricity. Easy drive to Florence and Yachats. Wished we stayed longer!

Beautiful mature campground with lots of trees. You can hear wind in the treetops but you are protected from it.

There was a campfire restriction in the campground area even after 1½ inches of rain. I find that ridiculous. It was finally lifted during our stay. Let's be realistic and use common sense for your guest who are supporting your program.

The sites are spacious, more than enough room for our 3 two-man tents. Amenities were adequate, the grounds quiet (at least while we were there). We were lucky enough to have the fire ban lifted the week before our trip (Sept 24-26). The location was awesome, with so much to visit within a half hour drive. The Sea Lion Caves were cool to see, even though the sea lions were out to sea, hunting for the winter. (They gave me a rain check to see the animals for free anytime of the year.) The weather was okay for this time of year, but foggy for a good part of the day. All in all, a very nice trip.

It’s our first time to camp @ Sutton Campground and it did not disappoint us! We had a hard time finding a group campsite along the California coast. We had to deal with bad air quality in our area due to the fires and wanted to just get away to the coast. Thankfully, when I checked sites in Oregon this campground showed an available date. Reviews were great too. We had a great time here. The campsite is huge and can definitely have enough space for more than 6 tents though parking Is only good up to 7 cars. The Restrooms were clean which is a huge thing. And it was just across Group site Loop A. The children enjoyed the creek at the back of the campsite. Another plus is there’s electricity available in this site. We will definitely come back in the future. If you want to explore Heceta Head Lighthouse State Park it’s just 13 miles away from the campground. Lots of outdoor activities close by like the Sand Dunes, beach or the nearby lakes. The hosts were nice too. Highly recommend this campground
