Very bad spot in the campground! We had several visitors and two large groups that walked straight through our small campsite (as trails aren’t clearly marked and guests don’t want to take the long way back to camp).

It was annoying and very intrusive to be eating dinner/at night and then have a group of at least eight cut straight through your site. There’s a path to the river nearby which people take to access so I think that might be the problem. Area needs more markers and maybe signage to explain how to navigate the campgrounds (and how to respect others sites). Some people were apologetic but it was definitely a nuisance! Same thing happened to the site right of us but maybe there are more remote spots on the campground (otter loop).

Crazy system dealing with cancelation process. Seems like some folks can't get to camp at open spaces following cancelations. I realize that no-shows muck things up. Perhaps some sort of penalty IF THEY FAIL TO CANCEL.
Love the campground!!

It is a quiet secluded campgrounds. Most of the sites are right in the Umpqua. It is dog friendly and the restrooms are well maintained.

This is a beautiful campground right along the N. Umpqua River with nice big level sites , big trees and ferns. We were there when there was lots of rain, but it made the waterfalls up and down the canyon more beautiful; lots of nice short hikes. It also seems like a great place for rafting (when the weather is warmer).
