Lovely campground that was covered by the trees. Made it quite dark, but is not something that should hold you back. Some campsites have river access. If you’re coming out of the east there is no sing that marks the entrance of the campground, use a map or navigation.

Horseshoe Bend is a great campground for paddlers paddling sections of the North Umpqua. We found the campground clean and well cared for. The camp host was very friendly and personable. He did a great job of running the campground.

Campground was pretty empty, as we camped mid week. Very quiet. Host was great. The site perfect, #17, small and just above the sound of the rapids. Just a couple of sites down (22) nice easy access to beach and great swimming hole (for my dog anyway .. still a bit cold for me)
