What Guests Are Saying
Hebo Lake Campground is a beautiful and tranquil destination with spacious, private sites and stunning natural scenery. Many visitors enjoyed excellent fishing opportunities and abundant wildlife, including a resident bald eagle. While the campground is well maintained by friendly hosts, campers should be aware that there's no potable water or firewood available, and the check-in process can be challenging due to limited phone service.

The lake and campground are beautiful. Also there is a resident Bald eagle!!! Good fishing in the lake. (The Eagle thinks so too). Wonderful campground hosts (Tom & Joan). They keep the campground spotless. And are pleasant, and helpful to talk to.

Beautiful drive to get to the campground. Stayed in site 2 and it was perfect. It’s the first spot on the left when you enter. Private. Drive up site. On the lake. Nice and big and pretty level ground for the most part. Good canopy of trees but still some sky to see the stars. Site 1 which is directly across would be my second choice. It’s up a small slope across from 2 but it’s more private and has a little squared off section for a tent, dividing it from the fire pit and picnic table which is cool.

Site 4 is the best site by FAR! Be sure to bring lots of drinking water and firewood if you plan on using the firepit. There is no drinking water or firewood. Reserve ahead, there's no other way to pay for day use or camping than on rec.gov. and the internet can be spotty or nonexistent.
Beautiful, quiet lake full of really good fishing, stocked trout. A walking path around the lake has benches and docks.
The trail is also fun but can be steep in some spots and narrow.
