What Guests Are Saying
Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. While it may not be ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, it provides a fun, active camping experience.

This should be listed as an ATV only campground. It was so noisy you could not sit outside (or inside for that matter) and carry on a conversation. Hours and hours of ATVs driving in circles on the campground roads. It got so bad we left the first evening and stayed in a Walmart parking lot for the night! TERRIBLE

Sad to see so little enforcement of the rules. People being allowed to camp and ride in grassy areas. Having as many as 5 cars in these areas. parking cars and atv's in the sites and not on paved areas.

Large campsites with flush toilets and water close by. Beach access close within walking distance. A lot of ATV, UTV, and dirt bikes around but most seemed very respectful of quiet hours. Camp hosts we're very sweet. Will definitely be looking into staying here again.

Very noisy campground with roaring ATVs, loud dogs barking in the middle of the night, and people not following rules.

No enforcement of quiet time or staff presence at night. I booked Sunday-Tuesday to avoid crowds. Our neighbors were there to party and kept us up till 3 AM the first night. The second night, when they turned the radio on and started shouting at 10 PM, we ended up in a confrontation. We had a group of 10+ people shouting threats and names at us, approaching our tents while we were inside, and no staff or help of any kind. I have camped there over 15 times and I have never felt so stressed or threatened. No longer a safe place to take my family. This will be my last visit.

BEWARE!!! Not for quiet families, tent campers, or those expecting a peaceful retreat!! We came out to Sandbeach expecting easy beach access and a peaceful camping experience. Wish we’d known more about this spot! Turns out it is an OHV/ATV rally point. Soooo many loud OHVs in and around the campground at almost all hours of the day. The noise was inescapable. Super disappointing. The beach access was nice - walking distance to Sand Lake (which is really an ocean inlet/slough) with great clamming. The actual beach is also within walking distance. But so frustrating to be surrounded by obnoxiously loud OHVs. Meanwhile, there is a roped off shore bird nesting area within ear shot of all of the OHVs. How is this acceptable?! Those birds are just as disturbed by NOISE as people walking nearby! Unbelievable that this is allowed! Will not be returning, and will be recommending added protections for the shore birds in terms of NOISE REDUCTION!
