Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. It was a lovely campsite! It was packed when we got there and some of the site were flooded since we went end of March. The people with atvs spent most their day at the dunes so it was pretty quiet. The spots were nice and large!
There’s no service but you’re camping, your phone should be off anyways!

Showed up to find our camp spot was flooded as were several other spots. Luckily my friend had a spot and hers wasn’t flooded so we stayed in her spot. But when I spoke to the Ranger he said that they were calling people the day of reservations to let us know that they were flooded and nobody let me know at all I never got a phone call. I had to track down the Ranger in order to talk to him about getting a refund. He was very helpful but the first camp hosts weren’t helpful they didn’t know anything about it or what to do I had to find the other camp host over in the day use area in order to help me. I guess the main problem is is that we showed up two hours from home to our camp spot that was flooded. Nobody notified us to where we could have made other arrangements or plans. Imagine if you had driven five or six hours to Get there and camp to find your camp spot flooded. Your trip would be ruined with no back up for somewhere else to stay. Anyway other than the camp spot being flooded it wasn’t a bad place to camp the campgrounds nice and big.

Nice late winter camp for two nights and not a soul around. Very clean bathrooms and tidy sites. Nice chat with Sand Beach Host.

Headed bathrooms - are you serious?! Amazing. Well stocked and cleaned. Great sites. There were only a couple other groups on this huge campground so it was pretty quiet.
