I think its the best site at this campground, its one of the few you can actually park at, we fit 3 cars in. Huge area for tents, had 3 spread around. Lots of trees for shade, view of the water through the trees and a short walk to the water. Not super private, can see some neighbors off through the trees, and the road for day use goes right by. Had planned on staying two nights but had to go due to thick wildfire smoke with ash falling.. Camp host was awesome, Super helpful and friendly.

I have stayed at dozens of campgrounds listed on rec.gov and never have I paid $30/ night for a campsite with the closest potable water 20 mi away. There was plenty of warning that the road was iffy in spots but what I took from the campground description was that there were no water or electric hookups. But there was no water period.

This is a nice campgrond on a beautiful lake. As it was my first visit, I was not ready for the more unconventional campground layout. This is not a traditional campground with every site having a space for a car. Instead many of the sites are actually walk in, with parking close by. The issue is that the spots needed for the walk-in sites can be taken by day use folks. There is a lot of day use people, but it calmed down by sunset.

When I reserved my spot on Recreation.gov, it says that the site is "Accessable." I do not need that, and since it said ALL the sites were Accessable, I went ahead and clicked through the warning. The sites are NOT Accessable.

The campground host, Cindy, was very nice and helpful.

Great sites with easy water access. Not a bad walk in from the cars. Cindy greeted us and was very nice. I was a little concerned about the access road warnings but we were driving a low riding minivan (due to our gear) and had no problems. Great location for kids.

We love coming here, it's our go to for the 4th of July weekend to escape the fireworks with the dogs. The campground is clean and well run, toilets are kept very clean, and other campers and day users are generally friendly and respectful. There is great swimming and (non motorized) boating on the lake, and some good hiking options that we enjoy.
